Baptist Haiti Mission
The Baptist Haiti Mission has been ministering to the Haitian people
for over 60 years. Programs run by the mission include evangelism, education/childcare,
medical care, and self-help/agriculture. The Mission’s medical ministry
serves the local population as well as those in remote areas. They operate
a 100 bed full service hospital and tuberculosis sanitarium, as well as
outpatient clinics serving hundreds daily.
Public Health Teams travel to isolated mountain areas where no doctors
or clinics exist. Here they provide critical teaching about nutrition,
family planning, pre and post-natal care and disease prevention. One of
the greatest needs of the Mission is medical supplies. For more information
on the Baptist Haiti Mission, please visit their website at www.bhm.org.
